BEVERLY, Mass. – Louise B. Maskell, 82, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Blueberry Hill Healthcare in Beverly, Mass. She was born in Woodland, the daughter of the late Donald F. and Harriet M. (Plissey) Maskell. Mrs. Maskell graduated from Washburn High School in 1939 and from the University of Maine in Farmington in 1942. She received her BS and master’s degrees from Boston University in the early 50s. An honorably discharged veteran of World War II, she joined the WACS in March of 1943 and was discharged in November of 1945. She taught School in Washburn, Topsfield, Mass., and Beverly, Mass. She retired from Beverly in 1983. Surviving her are two sisters, Juanita Woodworth of Mapleton, and Pamela Nickerson of Plaistow, N.H.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Leigh and Sherman Maskell, Beulah Gant and Maxine Babinski. Her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2004, in the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2004, in the Riverside Cemetery, Washburn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
