BAR HARBOR – Louise C. Hadley, 95, wife of the late Charles N. Hadley, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at a local hospital. She was born June 17, 1911, in Newark, N.J., the daughter of Richard and Louise (Statler) Hoernlein. Louise attended schools in Newark, N.J., and was employed at Prudential Life Ins. In 1951, they bought a home in Woodbridge, N.J. She truly loved being a housewife and taking care of her home and family. Upon her husband’s retirement in 1971, they settled in Bar Harbor. She enjoyed her flower gardens, crocheting, playing cards, bingo and, in more recent years, her get-togethers with the Jersey girls. She is survived by her children, Richard F. Because of her love for animals, contributions in Louise’s memory may be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
