PLEASANTON, Calif. – Louise Goodspeed passed away March 19, 2006, in Livermore, Calif. She was born in Lewiston, and resided in Hermon until retiring to Florida in 1978. Louise was predeceased by her parents, Hazel and Thomas; and brother, Earl. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Sloan of Groveland, Calif., and Joanne Smith of Dublin, Calif.; grandchildren, Gretchen Goritz, Cindy Burnett and Erik Smith; great-grandchildren, Peter Goritz, James Goritz, Sam Burnett and Zachary Burnett. Louise was an Eastern Star member and worked as a bookkeeper in Bangor. She moved to Florida in 1978, until the death of her husband, Lloyd Goodspeed in 1988. This brought her to California, to live closer to her family. She loved to sew, play Bingo and skunk her grandchildren in cribbage. She was a kind, gentle, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was truly loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. Services will be held at a later date in Hermon.
