CARIBOU – Louise M. Jose, 51, died Oct. 17, 2006, at her Caribou residence after a long illness. She was born June 26, 1955, in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. Louise was a 1973 graduate of Caribou High School and received her teaching degree from the University of Maine – Farmington, in 1977. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and recently had found great inner peace and strength from studying the Bible with her church friends. Louise married Jeffery Jose, Nov. 26, 1977. She was a special education teacher for more than 29 years, 25 of which were with the Caribou School Department. She found much pleasure and joy working with her many students over the years. Louise devoted her life and love to her family and students. She was a caring mother of two lovely daughters and a faithful loving wife, loyal friend and a kind and extraordinary teacher. She imparted a feeling of kindness and optimism to all who crossed her path and was an inspiration to everyone she touched. She possessed a rare preserved innocence despite the many obstacles she faced. Even during her last days, she always showed a concern for those around her. Her family and friends will always remember her beautiful smile, her appreciation for family and her sincerity. Louise enjoyed golf, crafts, reading and family time, and was a member of the Caribou Country Club. Surviving, in addition to her husband, Jeff of Caribou; are her two daughters, Jennifer Irene Jose and Emily Louise Jose, both of Caribou; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Deborah Cyr of Westmanland, Charles and Linda Cyr, and Francis and Carol Cyr, all of Caribou; her stepfather, Harvard Holmquist of Cross Lake; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bion and Irene Jose of Caribou; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, to a funeral Mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating. After the interment at Westmanland Cemetery, the family invites everyone to a time of fellowship and refreshments at the Holy Rosary Parish Hall.
