MONSON – Lucille H. Smith, 89, died Feb. 16, 2007, at Hibbard’s Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Athens, daughter of William and Leah (Corson) Huff. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Brown’s Nursing Home, Monson and was well known for her cooking. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda and her husband, Sheldon Foster and Minetta Brown and friend, Leslie Andrews, all of Sangerville; two sons, M. Stewart Smith Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Monson and Worden “Jake” Smith and his wife, Glenda, of Dover-Foxcroft; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ellen Jones. She was predeceased by her husband, Millard S. Smith Sr.; twin sons, Leo and Leonard; a granddaughter, Bridget Burke; son-in-law, Carl Brown; three brothers and a sister. A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. May 12, at Lawn Cemetery, Guilford.
