ISLESBORO – Lydia Pendleton, born July 27, 1934, died peacefully March 1, 2007, surrounded by her loved ones after a brief battle with cancer, at her daughter’s home in Lincolnville. Lydia loved her gardens, playing cards, bird watching, country music, dancing, eating out and mostly her family. We would like to thank all her special friends at bingo that enjoyed and embraced her unique way of expressing herself. We all loved her and will miss her very much. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Sidney A. Pendleton; daughter, Mary J. Pendleton; grandson, Sidney Achorn; and parents, Harvey and Christine Webster. She is survived by two daughters, Rose Fletcher and husband, Robert, and Linda Thomas and husband, Russell; sons, Ray Pendleton and wife, Trish, Eric Pendleton, Lyman Pendleton and James Pendleton; grandchildren, Mary Tripp and husband, Chester, Lacy Hall and husband, Ryan, Jason Fletcher, Susanne, Katie and Jacob Pendleton and Mark Pendleton; great-grandchild, Halle Tripp. Lydia is also survived by two sisters, Helen Smith and Doris Robertson. She will be deeply missed by her closest friend, as well as, companion, John Dean of Northport, along with their little poodle, Rufus. Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
