ORONO – Lyndon J. Treadwell Jr., 72, died May 10, 2007, at a Bangor hospital after a long battle with heart disease. He was born Sept. 18, 1934, in Orono, the son of Lyndon J. Treadwell and Phoebe (Prue) Treadwell. He was a graduate of Orono High School, Class of 1952, and was employed in the banking business for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances (Comeau) Treadwell; a brother, James Treadwell and his wife, Carole; two sisters, Elaine and her husband, Jerry Wade, and Verda and her husband, Linwood LeClair; sister-in-law, Ginny Treadwell; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Arthur; and his infant son, Mark. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 14, at Brookings-Smith, Labeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono, with the Rev. Wilfred Labbe, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will be in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery, Orono.
