HOULTON – Lynwood John “Peanut” Nason, 65, died Sept. 15, 2007, with his family at his side at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 14, 1942, in Haynesville, the son of Charles and Grace (Tuner) Nason. He is survived by eight children, son, James Nason of Houlton; daughters, Darlene and Brian Ewing of Caribou, Tracy and Richard Sanford, and Trena and Ted McAfee, all of Hammond, Wanita and Stephen Rush of Houlton, Laura Nason and Wayne Faulkner of Orient, Tanya and David Little of Houlton, and Heidi Nason and Liam Dooley of Houlton; a granddaughter he helped raise, Amanda Trecartin of Hodgdon; 17 other grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters, Dwayne of Bangor, Calvin of Houlton, Clara of Hodgdon, Malhon of Haynesville, Janice of Eddington, Joyce of Hodgdon and Gale of Linneus. He was predeceased by his parents; and one sister, Wyona Russell. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to Hospice of Aroostook, care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O.
