VEAZIE – M. Annette Kennedy, 83, died July 24, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1933, in Bangor, daughter of Lewis A. and Mary Beatrice (Flanagan) Rice. Annette was a graduate of John Bapst High School, Class of 1941 and Maine School of Commerce. She was employed in the assessor’s office, City of Bangor and the law offices of Morris Rubin and Lewellyn Michaud. Annette was a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor, and Veazie senior citizens. The residents of Graham School Senior Housing, Veazie, were a very special part of her life and she was an avid Rex Sox fan. Surviving are three children, David P. Kennedy and his wife, Susan M., of Palm Harbor, Fla., Kathy K. Glifort and her husband, Wayne A., of Veazie, and Susan E. Russell and her husband, Thomas J., of Orrington; six grandchildren, Kristan K. Kennedy, Andrew D. Kennedy, Melissa A. Glifort, Geoffrey J. Glifort, Ryan E. Russell and Matthew T. Russell; one great-grand-daughter, Ariana; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Kennedy; and one son, Jerome E. Kennedy. Annette will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and was extremely proud of her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, with the Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor of St. John’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
