NORTH PORT, Fla. – Mabel K. Lovejoy died March 6, 2005, in North Port, Fla. She was born Oct. 23, 1907, in Portage, the daughter of Francis and Laura Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Lovejoy graduated from the University of Maine in 1928. She worked for the U.S. Extension Service as a home economist for many years. She was an active alumni member of Phi Mu Sorority and was awarded the prestigious Black Bear Award for outstanding service to the University of Maine. Mrs. Lovejoy leaves her loving husband, Kenneth C. Lovejoy of North Port, Fla. She also leaves her daughters-in-law, Joy B. Folsom and Mary Beth Folsom, both of Connecticut; her grandchildren, Steven Folsom and his wife, Pamela, of Barnt Green, England, Harold Folsom and his wife, Elena, of Simsbur, Conn.; and Elizabeth Folsom and her husband, Robert Ferris, of Annapolis, Md.; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Harold S. Folsom and her sons, H. Sidney Folsom and Glenn R. Folsom.
