FORT FAIRFIELD and LIMESTONE – Mrs. Mable J. Tuck, 81, wife of the late Donald F. Tuck, died Wednesday morning, May 26, 2004, at her Fort Fairfield residence, following a long illness. She was born July 7, 1922, in Limestone, the daughter of Preston G. and Elva A. (Donovan) Kenneson. She attended Limestone schools and was a graduate of the Northern Maine Technical Institute, Presque Isle. She was married to Donald F. Tuck on Feb. 15, 1941, and was employed by the Community General Hospital, Fort Fairfield, as a licensed practical nurse for 20 years, where she also worked and volunteered for four years following her retirement. In addition to her parents, Mable was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 5, 1985; four brothers, George, Gerald, Bernard and Isaac Kenneson; two sisters, Barbara Sirois and Doris Glew. She is survived by one son, Gary Tuck and his wife, Jane, of Fort Fairfield; five sisters, Vera Makrai of Fairfield, Conn., Gloria McLaughlin and her husband, Luther, Lillian Glew and her husband, Gordon Jr., Chestina “Tiny” Flannery and Mildred Webb, all of Fort Fairfield; three grandchildren, David Tuck and his wife, Lori, Catherine Giggey and her husband, Roger, and Gary Tuck II; four great-grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth and Andrew Tuck, Roger Giggey II, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Tuck to the Fort Fairfield Public Library, 339 Main St., Fort Fairfield, ME 04742. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
