BANGOR – Mack G. Marquis, 30, died July 17, 2007, with his family at his side, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer, at a Boston hospital. He was born April 24, 1977, in Bangor, the son of Mark and Barbara (Allen) Marquis. Mack graduated from Bangor High School in 1996. His family was his life and he put his heart and soul into them. He is survived by his parents; his loving wife, Rebecca (Allred) Marquis; his two adoring daughters, Cassandra and Makayla Marquis, all of Bangor; his brother, Mark B. Marquis Jr. of Somerville, Mass.; his sister, Kate Marquis of Bangor; grandfather, Wilbert Marquis of Bangor; mother-in-law, Cynthia Allred of Jonesville, N.C.; brother-in-law, James Allred and his wife, Jennifer, of Greenville, N.C.; sister-in-law, Laura Allred of Jonesville, N.C.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 207 York St., Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor.
