HOLDEN and NORWOOD, Mass. – Marc Joseph French, 27, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, July 17, 2005, as the result of a boating accident. He was born Nov. 18, 1977. Marc attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He was employed by H.E. Sargent as foreman, a job that he enjoyed very much. He was an avid sports enthusiast. Other joys of Marc’s were sailing, skiing and spending time with his family, brother, Brian, and sister, Monica. He spent many years coaching teen baseball in Norwood, Mass. He often commented that he was simply “Giving back for the years he spent as a baseball player.” Marc’s warm smile and easy way will be forever remembered by his family and many friends. Marc is survived by his mother, Margaret French of Norwood, Mass.; father, William French of Holden; brother, Brian French of Norwood, Mass.; sister, Monica French of Bangor; step-brother, Troy Swett; step-sister, Amanda Oxly of Bangor; uncle, Joseph Doyle of Falmouth, Mass.; aunt and uncle, Susan and Bob Veracka and family of Kingston, Mass. Visiting hours will be held 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2005, at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, Washington Street, Norwood, Mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in Norwood, Mass. Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery, Norwood, Mass.
