MACHIASPORT – Margaret E. Vose passed April 22, 2007. She was born in Searsmont, to Tileston and Elizabeth Bickford. She graduated from Crosby High School in three years and continued on to become a cosmetologist in Belfast. Margaret then married and relocated to Eastport with her beloved husband, Wesley. Margaret and Wes enjoyed their time in Eastport before settling in East Kennebec, where they raised their only daughter, Ann. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered as a kind and generous person who took great pride in her family, friends, and community. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Ann Gaddis and son-in-law of 33 years, John. Her four grandchildren, Rebecca Hennessey and her husband, Michael, Kate Keeton and her husband, Lee, Meghan Dennison and her husband, Troy, and Zeke Gaddis and his wife, Abigail. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Derek, Brian, Benjamin, Rachel, George, and Grace. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Wesley; and siblings, Flora, Lottie, Edna, and Tileston. At Margaret’s request there will be no services. There will be a private committal at East Kennebec Cemetery. The family invites friends to visit 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Margaret’s home in East Kennebec. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Down East Community Hospital Auxilary.
