WASHBURN – Margaret Frances Turner, 83, wife of Bert Turner, died July 4, 2004, at Caribou following a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1920, at Woodland, the daughter of Adelbert and Marie (Hardaker) Sutherland. Margaret was educated in the Woodland and Caribou school systems and was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family. Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years, Bert of Washburn are one son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Cindi Turner of Washburn; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and Michael McMullen of Fairport, N.Y., and Jeannie and Jerry Burnette of Bolt, W.Va.; four brothers, Hayden Sutherland and his wife, Shirley, of Woodland, Stanley Sutherland and his wife, Marina, of Hebron, Conn., Russell Sutherland of Saint Petersburg, Fla., and Willis Sutherland and his wife, Gloria, of Caribou; six sisters, Gretchen Gallant of Presque Isle, Marjorie Giggie of Presque Isle, Esther Page and Betty Branscom, both of Caribou, Eugenia Gardner and her husband, Elden, of Portage Lake and Judi Greenier and her husband, Louis, of Cross Lake; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Vincent Page and Edward Branscom. Friends may call from 12 noon until time of services Wednesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lynne Josselyn and Mary Lou Brown, officiating. Interment will take place in the Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish to contribute in memory of Margaret, may do so through the Marie Sutherland memorial fund at the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
