BANGOR – Margaret Gertrude McCue, 68, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, surrounded by family and friends. She was born Aug. 5, 1938, in Harmony, to Lucille Sprague and Milo Huff. In addition to her family and friends, Maggie enjoyed spending her time hunting, fishing, cooking, crocheting, shopping at Reny’s and her breakfast at Dysarts. She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, C. James McCue. She is survived by her sons, James McCue of Bangor, Jeffrey McCue and wife, Nadine, of Carmel, John McCue and wife, Shawna, of Ripley, Jason McCue of Brewer; daughter, Jaylyn McCue of Hermon; and “daughter,” Sherrill Tompkins of Hampden; her sisters, Priscilla Drisko and husband, Bob, of Chelsey, Donna Woodard and husband, Sheldon, of Harmony; “sister,” Tunky Stanhope of Florida; her brothers, Hartley Lake and wife, Charolette, of Harmony, George Sprague Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Guilford; her nine grandchildren, Tabatha Hutchins of Hermon, Christopher McCue of Bangor, David McCue and wife, Desiree, of Old Town, Andrew McCue of Old Town, Heather Bowers and husband, Zack, of Carmel, Sherri McCue of Augusta, Shawn McCue of Ripley, Buffy McCue of Bangor, Amy (McCue) Defresne of Bangor and Jason Tompkins of Hampden; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at The Greenlawn Funeral Home. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be held 1 p.m. Thursday in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margaret’s memory to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Bangor.
