BELFAST – Margaret H. Jardine, 92, passed away Dec. 31, 2007, at a local nursing facility. She was born March 16, 1915, in Belfast, the daughter of Herbert F. and Addie (White) Hanson. Margaret worked in the office at a local shoe factory for more than 30 years. In 1947 she married Victor Jardine. Margaret enjoyed feeding the birds, gardening, going out to eat and knitting hats for the local Red Cross. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; and three siblings, Flora, Carl and Filmore. She is survived by nine nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 7, 2008, at Cra-biel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with the Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.
