VAN BUREN – Margaret M. Madore, 86, died May 15, 2006, at Maine Veterans’ Home in Caribou. She was born April 18, 1920, in Van Buren, the daughter of Joseph and Modeste (Cyr) Theriault. She was employed as a clerk and cashier at the former A & P and Rutherford’s grocery stores in Van Buren for many years. Mrs. Madore was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 49 of Van Buren. She is survived by her husband, Adhemar Madore of Caribou; three sons, Rodney Madore and his companion, Joan Dow, of Eagle Lake, John Madore and his wife, Gilda, of Bristol, Conn. and Davis Madore of Brewer; three daughters, Verna Ouellette and her husband, Nathan, of Van Buren, Patricia Roy of Van Buren and Jackie Bubar and her husband, Wayne, of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Grace Brown of Massachusetts; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. As per her request, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in her memory to the Maine Veterans’ Home, Residents Fund, 163 Van Buren Rd., Caribou, ME 04736.
