ASHLAND – Margaret W. Riley, 96, died Sept. 29, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born April 6, 1910, in Sheridan, the daughter of George and Lena (Nadeau) Wakefield. She was a member of the Ashland Senior Citizens Club and in 2000 was honored as the oldest living lifelong resident of Ashland. She is survived by five sons, Neil Riley of Lancaster, N.H., Robert Riley of Arizona, Donald Riley of Woonsocket, R.I., David Riley of Bronson, Fla., and Philip Riley of North Attleboro, Mass.; three daughters, Janet Snow of Presque Isle, Anne Chapman of Beacon, N.Y., and Katherine Rafford of Ashland; one brother, Donald Wakefield of Albany, N.Y.; one sister, Helen Wakefield of Troy, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George Riley in 1961; one son, Dean Riley in 2004; and by four grandchildren, Kevin, Mark, Deanna and Shari. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland. Committal service and interment will be at the Ashland Municipal Cemetery.
