CORINNA – Marguerite Ellen (Giles) Ordway, 86, wife of the late Kenneth Ordway, died Feb. 14, 2007, at Westgate Manor, where she had been a resident for the past 12 years. She was born July 7, 1920, in Corinna, a daughter of John and Margaret (Scott) Giles. Marguerite and Ken were married June 1937. They lived at the Ordway farm in Exeter, until 1958 when they moved to Corinna. She had been a member of the Chamberlain Church, where she had served as organist and Sunday school teacher. She worked as a spinner at Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna for 24 years. Marguerite enjoyed her home in Corinna and camp on Lake Wassokeag in Dexter. After her retirement, she enjoyed helping Peg in her floral shop and Carol in her ceramic shop. She also enjoyed music and gardening, as well as her family, neighbors and many friends. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Clukey and Lucybelle Giles; and a brother, Gerald Giles. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra and husband, Deane Eastman, of Corinth; son Richard and wife, Janice Ordway, of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandsons, David and wife, Amy Eastman, of Corinth, Patrick Eastman of Exeter, Kenneth and wife, Jamie Ordway, of Newport, R.I., Eric and wife, Elizabeth Ordway, of Westpoint, N.Y.; three great- grandsons, Aaron, Randy and Corey Eastman of Corinth; a brother, John and wife, Barbara Giles, of Garland; and a special cousin, Dorothy Buckley of Holyoke, Mass. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, at Morses Corner Cemetery, Corinna, with Pastor Stan Griffin officiating.
