LINCOLN – Maria Bishop Dill, 91, wife of the late Merle Dill, died April 24, 2006, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Caribou, the daughter of Alvah and Ethel (Wallace) Bishop. She was a 60-year member of Ivaloo Rebekah Lodge, where she held offices of noble grand and past noble grand. She had worked at Stratton’s and Newberry’s for a number of years. She is survived by three children, Jean Morrison and her husband, Daniel, of Spencer, Mass., Douglas Dill and his wife, Norma, of Lincoln and Merle “Buzzy” Dill Jr. and his wife, Dolly, of Lee; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 60 years, Merle, she was predeceased by a grandson, Wade Dill. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Bruce Young officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
