PEMBROKE – Marian M. Woodruff, 84, widow of Thomas J. Woodruff, passed away Nov. 19, 2006, at a Calais hospital. She was born June 20, 1922, in Penfield, New Brunswick, the daughter of Capt. M.A. Trynor and Myrtle V. (Campbell) Trynor of Lubec. She was a deaconess and member of the Bayside Christian Church of Virginia Beach, Va., she also volunteered at the Bayside Hospital and served in many other organizations there. She resided for many years in Fairport, N.Y., where she was a member of the Baptist Church and a life member and past matron of OES No. 444. She also attended the First Baptist Church, Pembroke. She is survived by a son, Lester and his wife, Irma Jean; a daughter-in-law, Joanne, all of Virginia Beach, Va.; a sister, Vona A. Bowers; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents; and her husband, Thomas, she was predeceased by a son, Reid; four sister and two brothers. She also had a special appreciation for the hospice volunteers who helped her, Avis Mahar, Shirley Brown and Grace Curtis. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the First Baptist Church, Pembroke, with Pastor Gary Kinney officiating. Burial will be held after the service at Corey Cemetery, Lubec. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pembroke or the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
