MADAWASKA – Marie C. Hebert, 81, died June 26, 2006, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in St. David, the daughter of Rene and Agnes (Cyr) Hebert. In 1962, Marie joined Romeo Daigle’s family in Madawaska for which she provided housekeeping services and helped in rearing the six Daigle children, Ann, David, Daniel, Lisa, Louise and Thomas Daigle. From 1985 until her death, Marie continued to be made a part of all of the Daigle’s celebrations, holidays and events. Of special assistance and dedication to Marie in recent years had been Romeo and Annette Daigle and their “non-related” family addition, Toni, their pet dog. She is survived by many nieces and nephews who are the children of her late brothers, Romeo, Henri, and Paul-Emile Hebert and of her late sisters, Estelle Bard, Aurore St. Onge and Annette Bouchard. Marie was predeceased by one other sister, Alvine Bouchard. Marie is also survived by two especially special “granddaughters,” Kate and Sierra Daigle. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Friends and relatives may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
