FRANKFORT and WINTERPORT – Marie Jean (Brassbridge) Howard, 40, the wife of Bruce J. Howard, passed away unexpectedly April 12, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1965, in Bangor, the daughter of Robert and Helen Marie (Stearns) Brassbridge Sr. Marie grew up in Winterport and was a graduate of Hampden Academy Class of 1984. Marie and Bruce were married in October 1986. She had worked at Lafayette Hotels in the housekeeping department for 18 years. Marie enjoyed her work and was a dedicated and hard worker. She enjoyed horses, taking her girls shopping and going to fairs. Marie will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, who devoted her life to her family. Her family and friends mourn her loss, but cherish the memory of the abundant joy and love she freely gave them throughout her life. Marie is survived by her husband of 18 years, Bruce, of Frankfort; her parents, Robert and Helen Brassbridge Sr. of Winterport; and her beloved and cherished daughters, Pam Marie Howard and Rhonda Jean Howard of Frankfort; one brother, Robert E. Brassbridge Jr. of Winterport; one sister, Amy L. Wright and her husband, Buck, of Winterport, and aunts, uncles, two nieces and cousins. Visiting hours will be held, 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A private funeral service will be held with the Rev. Meg Watson, pastor of the Frankfort Congregational Church, officiating. Private interment will be in Pilgrim’s Home Cemetery, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marie’s family, for the care and support of her daughters.
