CARIBOU – Marie Madore, 97, wife of the late Alfred Madore, died Oct. 21, 2006, in Van Buren after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Caribou, the daughter of Edward and Celina (Cote) Santerre. Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved everyone she came in contact with. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Marie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Linda Madore of Medway; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Julie Bard of Caribou, Irene and Eddie Michaud of Phoenix, Diane and Frank Oxley of Orlando, Fla., and Sally and Maynard Elliott of Woodland; 12 grandchildren, Lawrence, James and Paula Mich-aud, Lynn, Mary, Roy, Roger and Mathew Oxley, Alan and Dan Elliott and Darrell and Kelly Madore; nine great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 1982; and by her six brothers and four sisters. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. L. Chanel Cyr, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
