BIRCH HARBOR – Marie T. Picard, 40, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Ellsworth earlier that day. She was born June 5, 1967, in Portsmouth, Va., the daughter of the late Anita T. (Thibeault) Picard and Joseph E.E. Picard of Escondido, Calif. She attended and graduated from Bangor High School in 1985. Marie was, at the time of her death, employed by Maine Coast Memorial Hospital as a dietary aide for several years. Marie enjoyed NASCAR, over the road trucking and her newest passion of motorcycling with the love of her life, Lamont. She also enjoyed exercising. In addition to her father, family members include the love of her life of 19 years, Lamont Rice of Birch Harbor; nine siblings, Cheryl Picard of Milford, Stephanie McKenzie and husband, Peter, of Birch Harbor, Jerry Picard of Sarasota, Fla., Karen Kirchman and husband, Ron, of Bradenton, Fla., Jeffrey Picard of Stratford, Conn., Rachel Bluing and husband, Henry, of Escondido, Calif., Michael Picard and wife, Terry, of Birch Harbor, Debbie “Doo” Picard of Bangor, and Joseph Picard and wife, Ruby, of Yokosuka, Japan; nieces, Ashton, Anita, Cassandra, Joanna and Jasmine; nephews, Brent, Michael, Alec and Jared, several cousins, two aunts, an uncle; and her four footed feline companions, Suzie Q and Zoe. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 215 Main St., Ellsworth, with Pastor Billy Renwick officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. After cremation, burial will be held privately at Birch Harbor Cemetery, Birch Harbor.
