CARIBOU – Marilyn Jean Kerber, 57, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Jan. 13, 2006, at her Caribou residence following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 2, 1948, in Suffern, N.Y., the daughter of George Stanley and Margaret (Marshall) Van Dyke. Marilyn was a 1967 graduate of Midland Park High School in Midland, N.J. and was a personal line insurance underwriter for Selective Insurance in Branchville, N.J. for many years. She married Robert T. Kerber Oct. 7, 1972, and she and Robert had recently moved to Caribou after living in New Jersey all of their lives to build their retirement home, enjoy the beauty of Northern Maine and to snowmobile. Marilyn was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Presque Isle. Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert of Caribou; are her parents, George and Margaret Van Dyke of Glen Rock, N.J.; her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Stephen and Rebecca Kerber of Richmond, Ky.; her grandson, Joshua Kerber of Richmond, Ky. Marilyn was predeceased by her brother, Scott in 1989. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the New Life Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Mortland, officiating. Interment will be in the spring
