CLIFTON and EDDINGTON Marion A. Bragg, 91, died Nov. 2, 2004, at her residence in Eddington. She was born Nov. 28, 1912, in Merrill, the daughter of Herbert L. and Viola M. (Bates) Rockwell. Marion was a long-time member of the Clifton United Baptist Church. She attended the Stars program at the Bangor Mental Health Institute. One of her favorite expressions was “it’s a pretty day, anyway,” which will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy M. Bates, of Lamoine; a son, Stanley D. Pluard and wife, Dorraine, of Eddington; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grand-child. In addition to her husband, Philip, who died in 1994, she was predeceased by a daughter, Doris Withee; a son, Darrell Pluard; a grandchild, Stanley Pluard Jr.; four sisters; and a brother. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4, at Brookings-Smith Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 5, with the Rev. William Stone, pastor of the Clifton United Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Parks Cemetery, Clifton.
