NASHUA, N.H. – Mrs. Marion B. (Bartlett) Latimer, 85, of Nashua, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at Greenbriar Health Care Terrace in Nashua. She was born Dec. 2, 1919, in Millinocket, the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Ragon) Bartlett. She was educated in Millinocket and graduated from Stearns High School, Class of 1937. She then went to Aroostook General Hospital and got her nursing degree in 1943. Mrs. Latimer had lived in Mountain Lakes, N.J., Los Angeles, Calif., and Lexington Park, Md., prior to moving to Nashua, N.H. in 1966. She worked as a registered nurse for Memorial Hospital and Pine Hill Nurses Registry for many years. Mrs. Latimer enjoyed crocheting, and taking road trips throughout the country with her friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband, DeWitt T. Latimer Jr., who died July 29, 1983. Surviving family members include her two sons, DeWitt T. Latimer III and his wife, Diane Latimer of Keene, N.H., and Joseph B. Latimer of Fargo, N.D.; a daughter, Dianne Zalanskas of Nashua, N.H.; two sisters, Jeanne McGowan and her husband, Dana McGowan, of Millinocket and Natalie Voisine of Millinocket; two brothers, Wellman Bartlett of Natick, Mass., and Paul Bartlett and his wife, Sally Bartlett of Sparta, Tenn.; four grandchildren, DeWitt T. Latimer IV and his wife, Jenna Latimer, of Los Angeles, Calif., Dawn E. (Latimer) Taylor and her husband, Gregory Taylor of Keene, N.H., Mary E. Zalanskas of Lynn, Mass., and Kimberly D. Zalanskas of Nashua, N.H.; many nieces and nephews. Memorial calling hours will be held 12-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Memorial service will be 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery in the spring. The Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
