MACHIASPORT – Emily L. “Wintie” Marston, passed away Feb. 17, 2005, at Down East Community Hospital. She was born in Illinois, the daughter of the late Wallace and Emily (Fennell) Ross. Emily grew up in Massachusetts. For many years, she worked for a greeting card company. Emily was a faithful Christian woman. She attended St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church in Machias and was a member of the vestry. Emily was a proud supporter of the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. She also enjoyed entertaining at the nursing homes. She is survived by three friends who loved her dearly, Betty, Betty, and Pam; her beloved MacGyver; and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Elder Austin L. Marston, in 1995. Visiting hours will take place 10 a.m.-12 noon Monday, Feb. 21, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home in Machias. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, 36 Dublin Hill, officiated by the Rev. Richard Johnson, Priest and the Rev. Betty Seidle, Deacon. Interment will take place in the spring at the West Kennebec Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741.
