EASTPORT – Marion E. (McConnell) Clement, 76, died Feb. 11, 2005, at Atlantic Rehab and Nursing Home in Calais. She was born Sept. 28, 1929, in Eastport, the daughter of the late Neil and Winifred (Rafus) McConnell. She lived in Eastport all her life until health problems caused her to move to Calais. She was a member of the Seaside Temple No. 59 Pythian Sisters, Past Chiefs Club, and Ralph Ray Post VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Clement and husband, Martin Brooks, of Robbinston; one son, Brian Clement and his wife, Wendy, of Gilbertville, Mass.; two grandchildren, Shauna Brooks and Cindy Clement; three stepchildren, Barbara Bean and her husband of Eastport, Paul Clement of Calais and Bonnie Gordon and her husband of Arizona; six stepgrandchildren, Tammy, Devon, Robert Dore, Steven, Sherrie and Ryan Gordon and 12 great-stepgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Clement, and brother, Glen McConnell. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at Hill Side Cemetery in the spring.
