DYER BROOK and HOULTON – Marion Helen Morrison, 86, formerly of Dyer Brook, died in a local healthcare facility on Nov. 6, 2003. She was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Aroostook Junction, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Willard and Myrtle (Somerville) Miller. She was a member of the Island Falls Baptist Church and worked as an LPN in the Island Falls hospital and in a Pasadena, Calif. nursing home. She also assisted her husband on their Dyer Brook Farm. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Bryant Morrison. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and James Shields of Haverhill Mass.; daughter, Sylvia Morrison of Houlton; three brothers, Marshall Miller of Woodstock, Canada, Louis Miller of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and Wesley Miller of Hornsea England; one sister, Beulah MacLaren of London, Ontario, Canada; three grandchildren, Kenneth Shields, Wayne Shields and Karen Fosnock; and six great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by one brother, Malcolm Miller. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. James Flye officiating. Interment will be in the Dyer Brook Cemetery.
