ARGYLE TOWNSHIP and ORONO – Marion J. Martin, 84, died Feb. 13, 2004, at an Orono healthcare center. She was born July 23, 1919, in Old Town, the daughter of Wilfred and Mary (Folloman) Davis. She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Francis C. Martin; and by two sons, David and Francis. Surviving are one daughter, Jean Bouchard and her husband, Rick; one son, Lester C. Martin Sr., whom she lived with for the past several years; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one special grandson, Shane Martin; daughter-in-law, Peggy Martin; and her very special friends who remained close to her through the hard times of her illness, Peg Goodspeed and Katherine Musgrave. Marion enjoyed camping for many years at Penobscot Valley Campground in East Corinth, and at Good Sam Samboree in Fryeburg. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St. Orono, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Joseph Koury, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Orono, officiating. Spring internment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Old Town.
