BREWER and BANGOR – Marion Louise Higgins, 76 years young, went to be with the Lord, Oct. 31, 2006. She was born June 13, 1930, in Patten, the daughter of Wesley and Clara (Sylvia) Cunningham. She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ with all of her heart and shared Him with everyone she met. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her godly wisdom and guidance will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 32 years, Donald S. Higgins Jr. of Brewer; her children, Clyde R. Cox Jr. and wife, Rose, of Debeque, Colo., Cara McCarty and husband, David, of Hermon, Tamara Clark and husband, Alan, of Knox, Thomas Higgins and wife, Vicki, of Gorham; her three sisters, Patricia Coolong of Patten, Anita Martin of Caribou, Rebecca Phillips of Connecticut; her two brothers, James Cunningham of Benedicta and Wayne Cunningham of Merritt Island, Fla.; her eight grandchildren, Robin, Danny, Tabitha, Charity-Anne, Emma, David Jr., Samuel and Mildred; her 10 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brianna, Justin, Jonathan, Isaac, Dominik, Camden, Charley, Xander and Cara-Elizabeth; a very special nephew, Donald Speirs Sr. and wife, Debi and children, Donald Jr., Justin, Seth, Debbie and Jesse. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie York of Michigan and Laverne Fitzgerald of Kenduskeag. Family and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, with Pastor Jeff Martin, Danny Cox and Mike Martin presiding. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at the Brooking-Smith Family Center 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service Saturday.
