GRAND ISLE – Marius J. “Ti-Num” Levesque, 69, passed away peacefully Jan. 8, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born April 27, 1937, in St. David, the son of Gideon and Ida (Deschene) Levesque. The oldest of 19 children, Marius grew up to be a hard worker and was always very dedicated to his work. He will be remembered for his love and appreciation of nature, his robust sense of humor, his ever-present willingness to help anyone in need, and his genuine humility. He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes, six sons, Thomas and Dean Levesque, both of Grand Isle, Scott Levesque and his wife, Sue, of St. David, Christian Levesque and his wife, Christi, of Presque Isle, David Levesque and his companion, Katie Wallace, Gerald Levesque and his wife, Jessica, of Turkey; three daughters, Lori Levesque and her husband, Doug, of Fort Kent, Tammy Tungels and her husband, Gary, of Junction City, Kan., and Mary Levesque of Madawaska; eight brothers, Roger Levesque and his wife, Gilda, of St. David, Vernon Levesque and his wife, Dianne, Donald Levesque and his wife, Helen, Denis Levesque and his wife, Phillis, all of Madawaska, Roland Levesque and his wife, Betty, of St. Augustine, Fla., Leo James Levesque of St. Agatha, Michael Levesque of Hartford, Conn., Herman Levesque and his wife, Marie, of Hebron, Conn.; eight sisters, Jeannine Peck and her husband, Sid, of Ashford, Conn., Muriel Mowen and her husband, Theodore, of Plantation, Fla., Theresa Lavoie and her husband, Reginald, of St. David, Jacqueline Belanger of Hartford, Conn., Jeannette Guerrette and her husband, Robert, Lena Sirois and her husband, Ronald, Carol Waltman and her husband, Jesse, of Madawaska, Diane Tracy and her husband, Joe, of South Windsor, Conn.; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Levesque of Grand Isle, 26 grandchildren, two great-grand-children, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Marius was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Destromp) Levesque; one daughter, Jeannie Levesque; one son, Robert Levesque; one granddaughter, Jessica Levesque; and by one brother, Armand Levesque. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Gerard Church, Grand Isle. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday until time of services, at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at St. Gerard Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Marius’ memory to a pre-selected charity of his choice.
