OTIS – Marjorie A. Pollard, 97, died March 26, 2007, at an Orlando, Fla., hospital, after a short illness. She was born in Columbia Falls, the daughter of Benjamin and Rosa (Higgins) Morris. Marjorie was involved in town of Otis business in her younger years, having served as tax collector and treasurer for many years, as well as, being a very busy homemaker. She belonged to the Hancock County Extension for many years, was a 62-year member of Mariaville Grange No. 441, and a longtime member of Tri-Town Garden Club. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Everett P. Pollard; a son, Morris E. Pollard; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Pollard. She is survived by a daughter, B. Joanne Dority and son-in-law, Arthur Dority of Ellsworth; sons, Percy B. “Bud” Pollard of Oviedo, Fla., Bruce M. and wife, Caroline Pollard, of Greenville, N.Y., and John E. “Rick” Pollard of Sanford; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
