SOUTHWEST HARBOR Marjorie Helen Elvidge, 87, died Feb. 23, 2008, at a Mount Desert Island hospital. She was born May 22, 1920, in Philadel-phia, the daughter of Edward J. and Mary H. (Meighan) Gill. Marjorie is survived by her son, Edward Elvidge and wife, JoAnn, of Southwest Harbor; a sister, Susan Conroy of Somers Point, N.J.; six grandchildren, Theresa Bistrong, Richard Elvidge, Janet Blood, William Keller, Thomas Keller and Mary Ann Michelfelder; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie; and a son, Richard. A private celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held in May. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert.
