OLD TOWN – Marjorie (Madden) St. Peter, 86, died Monday Feb. 27, 2006 at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1919, the daughter of Erold and Hazel (Dudley) Madden. Margie’s greatest joys in her life were her family and friends. She was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1938. Margie was a member of Holy Family Parish in Old Town, Senior Citizens, Daughters of Isabella and Tops. She loved to play cards with her family and especially loved winning “all those quarters.” Marjorie married Albert Dionne, Nov 11, 1940. They were married for 40 1/2 years until his death in 1981. Together, they had two children, William Dionne and Mary Ann (Dionne) Sibley. In 1985, she married Randolph St. Peter. Together, they spent the last 23 years traveling and enjoying each other. Margie always called herself “a tuff old bird,” as she clearly displayed this in her final days. A special thank you to the staff at Orono Commons. Also, a special thank you to the nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the loving care they gave Marjorie and her family. She is survived by her husband, Randolph St. Peter; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann (Dionne) Sibley and Gary Sibley; a daughter-in-law, Gloria (Ouellette) Dionne; five grandchildren, Marsha (Dionne) Smith and her husband, Robert Smith, Kim (Dionne) Blair and her husband, Glenn Blair, Kevin Dionne, Brandy (Sibley) Colley and her husband, Paul, Gary Sibley and his wife, Amanda (Tufts) Sibley. Margie also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Darcy Smith and her fiance, Shane Bond, Amanda Smith, Lindsey Blair, Jenna Dionne, Zack Henderson, Libby Colley and Mathew Sibley; brother and sister-in-law, Erold and Beverly Madden. Margie is also survived by four stepchildren and their families, Linda St. Peter, Pat and Sheila Kelly, Karen Clark and Tony and Pam St. Peter, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Dionne; two sisters, Frances Madden Bean and Pauline Madden Brown. Margie also lost her only son, William (Bill) Dionne, whom she loved so dearly; stepson, John St. Peter; two special friends, Ruth LeGassey of Millinocket and Carol Sibley of Old Town. Calling hours were held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, as Wednesday’s edition was incorrect. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Parish in Old Town, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. Friends and family are invited to the Holy Family Parish Hall immediately following the mass for a luncheon and continued fellowship. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery.
