BLAINE – Marlene L. Trafford, 70, a loving mother and grandmother, died unexpectedly Monday, July 16, 2007, at her residence. She was born Nov. 26, 1936, in New Market, Ontario, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Clubine) Powell. Marlene worked as a certified nurse’s aide. She enjoyed doing crafts, working outdoors in her yard, and babysitting Kim’s dog, Bailey. Marlene was an avid NASCAR fan; her favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson. She is survived by a son, Kevin S. Trafford and his fiance, Lynn Estey, of Bridgewater; a daughter, Kim Field and her husband, Alan, of Blaine; a twin, brother Murray Powell of Aurora, Ontario; a sister, Donna Teetzel of St. Thomas, Ontario; a granddaughter, Katelyn Marie Field; and special friends, Bob and Kathy Collins of Mars Hill. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband, Stanley Trafford. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Smith Cemetery, Bridgewater, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
