MARS HILL – Marlene N. Crawford, 70, died March 1, 2006, at her residence. She was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Houlton, the daughter of Eldon and Opal (Niles) Crawford. She is survived by three brothers and their wives, Leroy and Gloria Crawford, Robert and Lois Crawford and Roger and Linda Crawford, all of Mars Hill; one sister, Marilyn Tackett of Ohio; several nieces and nephews including; a special niece, Kerry Crawford. At her request there will be no calling hours or service. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Houlton in the spring, with the Rev. Mark Carter, officiating. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the American Heart Association, Northeast Affiliate, 343 Gorham Rd., South Portland, ME 04106 or charity of choice.
