SORRENTO – Martha B. Scott, 67, passed away Aug. 11, 2005, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 19, 1937, in Calais, the daughter of the late Alton A. and Evelena (Tracy) Batson. Martha worked at the Maple Crest Nursing Home in Sullivan for more than 30 years. She retired from Courtland Rehab and Living Center. She is survived by her son, Robert “Robbie” Scott of Gouldsboro; three grandchildren, David Scott and his wife, Teagan, Christy Scott and her fianc?, Todd, and Lisa Scott, all of Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, Peggy Tracy and husband, Dana, of Prospect Harbor, Harold Batson and wife, Ann, of Ellsworth, and Michael Batson and wife, Kathy, of Connecticut; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She is also survived by her beloved poodle, Midget. Martha was predeceased by her husband, Gail A. Scott, in August 1999; and a brother, Leigh Batson, in August 2004. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at the Blaisdell Cemetery in Sullivan. Memorial contributions may be made in Martha’s memory to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
