OLD TOWN and BRADLEY Martha M. Ouellette Murphy, 88, died peacefully June 2, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 24, 1920, in Old Town, the daughter of William B. and Annie M. (Willette) Chamberlain. Martha was employed for many years by F. W. Woolworth Co., Old Town and Woolco, Bangor. She was a parishioner of St Ann’s Catholic Church, Bradley, throughout her life. Martha was a member of Daughters of Isabella and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She was a sportswoman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to travel. Martha resided at Young’s Home for the Elderly where she received the best of care and love from the wonderful staff. She is survived by a son, Richard L. Ouellette and wife, Barbara, of Milford; a daughter, Elaine M. Pelletier and husband, Joseph, of Bradley and Zephyrhills, Fla.; a stepson, Stanley Murphy and wife, Lauren, of Milford; four grandchildren, Richard Ouellette Jr. and wife, Renee, Scott Ouellette, Jane M. Kelley and Daniel Pelletier; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Elsie Soucie for her spiritual support. Martha was predeceased by her husbands, Louis M. Ouellette and Stanley U. Murphy. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Brookings-Smith, LaBeau Chapel, 72 Main St., Orono. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Bradley. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Old Town. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the interment in the church parish hall of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
