CRYSTAL – Marty C. Lane, 61, went to be with his Lord, March 19, 2007. He was born Sept. 27, 1945, in Island Falls, the son of Willis and Alice (Ryan) Lane. Marty served with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, and was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing. Marty was happiest when he was riding his motorcycle or spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother of Island Falls; his wife, Diane (King) Lane of Crystal; his son, Andrew Lane of Island Falls; his daughter, Rebekah Thomson and her husband, Chris, of Westbrook; his granddaughter, Justice, who was the apple of his eye; one brother, Malcolm Lane of Florida; several nieces and nephews, many friends; and his special dog, Lady. He was predeceased by his father, and brother, Willis Jr. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Church with Fr. Eddy Morin, celebrant.
