BANGOR – Marie C. Maidlow, 81, loving wife of 56 years, to the late Melvin Maidlow, died March 21, 2007, at an Orono health care center. She was born Aug. 15, 1925, in Bangor, the daughter of Theodore J.J. and Florence Maria (Trenholm) Miner. Marie will be remembered as a loving, caring mother and grandmother, whose life revolved around her family. Her heart and her home were always open to all. She had a way to brighten your day and make you feel better. Marie always found the good in a person and would do anything to help someone in need. God blessed her with the patience of an angel. Surviving are her children, Marlene M. O’Reilly and her husband, Timothy, of Scarborough, Richard M. Maidlow and his wife, Debra, of Bangor, Mark A. Maidlow and his wife, Rachel, of Bangor, Kathryn F. McLeod and her husband, Timothy, of Bangor; seven grandchildren, Wendy, Brent, Marcy, Caitlyn, Mariah, Christine and Allison; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Elijah, Tristan, Nathan, Hannah, Christopher and Morgan; one sister, Delena Curran and her husband, Charles, of Bangor; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maidlow was predeceased by her husband, Mel, in 2002; a daughter, Terry Y. Hopkins, in 2006; and brothers, Oliver Miner, Lawrence Miner, Stanley Miner, Adrian Miner, and Douglas Miner. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 5-7 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Catholic Chaplain of St. Joseph Hospital, officiating. Family and friends are invited to meet 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the cemetery office.
