PRESQUE ISLE – Mary B. Fairweather, 88, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Presque Isle, the daughter of James H. and Catherine (Brennan) Barry. She lived in Huntington Station, Long Island, N.Y., for many years. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work. She moved back to Presque Isle in 1993. Mary was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by a special niece, Kathryn Chandler and her husband, Kyle, of Mapleton; a nephew, Daniel McGlauflin of Waterville; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Toole of Bloomington, Ind.; two nieces, Janice Landin of Bellingham, Wash., and Gail Watari of Clackamas, Ore.; a nephew, John Toole of Clackamas, Ore.; and two great-nephews, Logan and Lucas Chandler of Mapleton. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Fairweather; and a sister, Katherine McGlauflin. Relatives and friends may call 9:30-10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Interment will be at Fairmont Cemetery, Presque Isle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 813, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
