CLINTON – On July 12, 2008, Mary Drusella “Drucy” Murch, 85, passed away at Inland Hospital, Waterville, after suffering a stroke earlier in the week. Drucy’s final days were peaceful. Drucy was born June 17, 1923, to Daniel and Rebecca (Jandreau) Thibodeau of St. Francis. She attended elementary school in St. Francis and later worked for Fort Kent Telephone Co., as a switchboard operator. In 1951 Drucy married Randell Murch of Belfast and after spending a few years in Limestone, she became a permanent resident of Clinton. Drucy survived three cancer operations, the death of her husband and the later death of her long-time companion, Ted Page of Vassalboro. She loved dancing, needlework and her flower gardens. For the last three years of her life, Drucy was a resident of Volmer Country Living Center, Vassalboro, a residential care facility. Drucy is survived by her three children, Sandra Rebecca Runnells of Canaan, Dana Paul Murch of Belfast and Peggy Ella Yaeger of Corbin, Ky.; four grandchildren, Shane Runnells and Jason, Matthew and Keith Yaeger; by a new great-grandchild, Maxwell Yeager; her five siblings, Valmond Thibodeau of Fort Kent, Sylvia Ouellette of St. Francis, Rose Mercer of Plainville, Conn., Theodore Thibodeau of Fort Kent and Trefflie Thibodeau of Florida. Drucy will be interred in the Murch family plot at Grove Cemetery, Belfast. Donations may be made in Drucy’s name to Volmer Country Living Center, 513 Maine St., Vassalboro, ME 04989.
