ELLA MAE BREWER

MONTICELLO – Ella Mae Brewer, 72, passed peacefully away the evening of July 13, 2008, surrounded by her family, in her home. She was born Jan. 1, 1936, the daughter of Judson and Julia Miller. Ella dedicated her life to taking loving care of her family. She and her husband, Ernest Brewer, raised eight children of their own, as well as providing care for her grandchildren and extended family. She worked hard each day of her life and in recent years was a personal care provider through Aroostook Area on Aging, where she helped care for the needs of elders. Ella was a proud and respected member of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs. She was also a lifetime resident of Monticello. The fondest memory of her with her family will always be sitting around the kitchen table listening to the many stories she and her husband, as well as many family members and friends, shared. She dearly loved and found joy in each moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be profoundly missed by those who knew her; but cherished memories of her will live on. Ella’s loving husband, Ernest, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage, survives her, along with eight children, Lorainne Hustus and her husband, Alex, of Brooks, Patricia Cronkhite and her husband, John, of Presque Isle, Peggy Brewer of Millinocket, Judson Brewer and his wife, Karen, of Monticello, Daniel Brewer and his wife, Brenda, of Connecticut, Gidget Noyes of Monticello, Bonnie Swimm and her husband, Randy, of Littleton and Shane Brewer and his wife, Danielle, of Presque Isle; and a special person, who she considered to be a daughter, Debbie Smith-Chase and her husband, Larry; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Miller of Presque Isle and Gordon Miller of New York; one sister, Geneva Archer of Presque Isle; and a special niece, Julia Miller. Ella’s life will be honored and celebrated with a private family gathering at her home.
