BANGOR – Mary L. Bragg, 79, went to be with the Lord April 9, 2007, at her residence. She was born Nov. 3, 1927, in Hermon, the daughter of Robert and Addie (Rose) Thompson. Mary attended Hermon Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at Bradford Commons, gardening, plants and she especially enjoyed her family outings. She is survived by four children, Robert Gamble and his wife, Judy, of Connecticut, Jeannette Bailey and her husband, Don, of Kenduskeag, Wayne Gamble and his wife, Dede, of Levant and John Gamble and his wife, Elaine, of Eddington; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Thompson and his wife, Hazel, of Hermon; one sister, Roberta Harding and her husband, Ervin, of California, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Norman, Raymond, Donald and Sumner; and one sister, Avis Bryant. A funeral service will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of service. Family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the services to Hermon Baptist Church, Parish Hall, 2496 Route 2, Hermon.
