OLD TOWN – Mary Louise (Ouellette) Morin, 67, passed away July 23, 2007, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born May 20, 1940, in Bangor, the daughter of Randolph E. and Elizabeth M. (Smith) Ouellette. Mary Lou graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1958 and later married her high school sweetheart, Francis “Butch” Morin. Although being born in Bangor, Mary Lou grew up on French Island and she and Butch lived and raised their children there. She worked for more than 30 years at the former James River mill, where she retired in 2002. Mary Lou loved to travel. Most recently Mary Lou, Butch, their children and grandchildren cruised the Eastern Caribbean together. Family was very important to Mary Lou and she was known to spoil her grandchildren. She also loved holidays and getting everyone together. They will remember her as an outspoken, kind and generous woman. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts and her flower gardens. She also played cards every Tuesday with a special group of friends. Mary Lou was a member of the Old Town Senior Citizens and the Red Hat Society. She was also a communicant of Holy Family Parish. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Jessie (Sargent Ouellette) Boivin; and brothers, Randolph A. and Harold Ouellette. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband, Francis “Butch” Morin; children, Rebecca Cosenze and her husband, Anthony, Lisa Stilley and her husband, Stewart, and Christopher Morin and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Christopher Cosenze, Megan Morin, Gabriel Bamford, Devan Morin, Kaiden Morin, Zachary Moeller and Nicholas Moeller; brothers, Frank Ouellette, Richard “Rick” Ouellette and his wife, Olga, Dennis Ouellette and Stephen Ouellette and his wife, Diana; dear friend, Patricia England; devoted canine companion, Max; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at Holy Family Parish, Old Town, with the Rev. Thomas Farley, celebrant. Interment will be later. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the parish hall after services. Arrangements are in the care of Birmingham Funeral Home.
