PATTEN – Mary M. (Pilkington) Kay, 48, went to be with her Lord Nov. 20, 2005, at her home with her family at her side. She was born July 8, 1957, in Providence, R.I., the daughter of Edward and Patricia (DiGrado) Pilkington. Mary home schooled her children for 10 years and enjoyed buying and selling antiques. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, David Kay; two loving sons and one daughter, Andrew, Matthew and Cara, all of Patten; two sisters, Jeanne Willard of Smithfield, R.I. and Anne Colaluca of Gloucester, R.I.; four brothers, Ned Pilkington of Providence, R.I., Daniel Pilkington of North Smithfield, R.I., William Pilkington of Smithfield, R.I. and Joseph Pilkington of Burriville, R.I.; father and mother-in-law, Ed Kay Jr. and his wife, Judith, of Smithfield, R.I.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; one brother, Michael Pilkington. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at the Patten Pentecostal Church, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Pastor Sam DeWitt officiating. Interment will be held in the Patten Cemetery.
